Many road-maps are available for walkers.
A nice starting point for an adventurous
walk is the viaduct de Rocherolles,
a 54 m high railway viaduct over the river Gartempe, built in the middle
of the XIX century. You can follow the river and there is a chance you
may see a kingfisher or a black-bellied dipper. You might even be really
lucky and see some otters.
Walking in the ‘Monts d’Ambazac’
provides you with beautiful views of the countryside. Here you can walk
for hours without seeing anybody.
On your walks you can often meet
deer.
And why not follow a part of one
of the Limousin routes of the pilgrimage of St. Jacques to Santiago de
Compostella.
